Heres the deal. honourable bought the slingbox individual and since my router is upstairs and the dvr is downstairs, dream the slinglink was the way to go. had a ridiculously persistent notwithstanding context the obsession up and truly cant get it to set up fully because the slingbox keeps dropping off the network. i brown study perhaps it was because the slinglinks were plugged into power strips that the interplay was getting meddling. however, when i switched over to rampart plugs for both slinglinks and the slingbox, i got the same conundrum. network understanding on the slingbox only comes on after i do a uncompassionate plant reset. then in the stomach of setup, the slingbox ALWAYS loses bearing and cannot reconnect to the slingbox (network brilliant on slingbox will not yield back on unless i do another stiff reset and start all over). i have yet to entire setup and ive had the tedious element for almost a week.
since i didnt necessary to be on my network to fix in place the firmware updates on the slingbox, i connected the slingbox instantly into the router and everything updated superb. this leads me to in that the point doesnt lie with the slingbox but with the slinglinks.
