Modem xfinity - Modems

I have a hacked modem stopped working when xfinity came out. how do I get it back online?

I have a bit of hacking wisdom in other areas but I am a total noob in this area. Any help or instruction would be much appreciated.

try a severe power cycle
turn off the computer, then the router(if installed), then the modem, then in proper order a out of sequence them on in reverse order
if that doesn't work, use your browser to enrol the modem's "support page"
