Is it possible to connect a DSL modem to an Ethernet switch/router and then to in-wall wiring to a WiFi router
I have in-irritate cabling (cat. 5) done already and need to use both Ethernet and WiFi. all my in-fence cables converge to the basement though, and I can't get a signal from my WiFi router there.
Well the win out over thing would be to put an ACCESS POINT on one of the "in wall" cables upstairs. It is easier to setup for what you are asking than attempting another router. Some routers permit you to set them as just an access point.

@ Haven't tried yet. But have same setup here (through a gigabit switch to line modem router) as last house. It was fine there.
