How does a router modem setup work?
Does the modem demodulate the signal, then send to the router, then does the router dole out the packets to the correct computer on the network, or am I wrong?

I'm participating in a hardly study. The FCC wants to see if Internet Providers are giving us the speeds they advertise. The new Netgear box will run a few tests and description back it's findings. But for me, I wanted to keep using my Apple router, so I had to do some tweaking....
@ I've got the modem set to bridged craze connected to the router. I have had no problems in the last 4 months with this setup.
@ To clean, you said you're connected to the wall jack? is there a router or modem involved in this setup? ^LB
@ Restart Modem, Router and Xbox then run interplay setup.
@ Haven't tried yet. But have same setup here (through a gigabit thrash to cable modem router) as last house. It was fine there.
