i can fix net through usb but the lan does not works.all the lights on the modem glows except the light of ethernet.i have checked the ethernet guy that it is properly connected to computer and the lan is still not working please tell what's the problem and how to solve it.

About my internet modem not working...
not having a wireless router yet is preventing me from working in my favorite armchair. hunched over by the modem = not comfy 
broadband is not working.... the modem signals are lighted up but cannot ping proprietor sites. this totally sucks!
So my sister unplugged the modem so she could pigtail in the Christmas lights and then complained about the internet not working.
