Modem light blinking on belkin router - Modems

why is there and what can i do about an orange light blinking on my belkin router by the modem?

i was on my Ipod last continuously and it was connected to the wifi at my house. then suddenly it stopped working, and i attentiveness it had something to do with my ipod so i turned it off and went to bed then in the morning when i was trying to unite to the INTERNET on my lap
