okay so i neutral got a new dsl internet modem today, i set it up and it works ok but the lights blink on and off and the internet stops working, my old modem never did that? what can i do?
try reseting the gambit, it should have a hard reset button somewhere on the back or side, maybe even on the bottom. if that doesnt trade it could be defective, call your provider

Ask LH: Why Do I Have To Keep Resetting My Router, And How Can I Fix It? My connecting goes wonky once every few days, and I have to unplug the router and reboot it (I believe this is called a thorny reset) to fix the problem. Obviously, this is incredibly annoying.
