How can i hook up my verizon network extender and my computer to my modem?

i have wow internet and my modem only has one ethernet anchorage. I really only need one more port in order to hook up my professional care extender. Would an ethernet hub work? I'm not very knowledgeable in this area and any help would be appreciated. PS: i solely paid 250
