Do Cox support DOCSIS 3.0 Cable modem?

Undoubtedly. I have an old Gateway 700GR computer with Win XP, and i use Cox Cable with Premier plan service. I would like to upgrade my Cable modem to Motorola Surfboard SB6120 Cable Modem - DOCSIS 3.0. Will my old computer and Cox substantiate DOCSIS 3.0? and if it supports

cox will prop it as the modem should be backwards compatible. You will not see any better speed until COX starts using DOCIS3 in your stretch and you upgrade to the higher speed plan. as for the computer you are fine if it has more than a 10 fraudulent T Network card

SB6120 issues with Cox - Cable-Modem.Net Forums

I looked around on some forums and it seems that the issue is in the firmware variant that Cox made efforts for this modem. Currently, he is 1.0.1.7-SCM00-NOSH construction. I called several senior technicians stable, and they damn tease latest firmware saying "it has not been tested on their network yet. The latest model from Motorola (as far as I remember) is 2.3, and it is cast-off on the Comcast network already. My modem came with the 1.0.8 firmware and components Edition 3.0, but was downgraded to 1.0.7 event, and armaments revaluation next 1.0 days after plugging in.(I theorize how is it feasible that the copy version of weaponry has changed? Unusually exotic. Anyone can excuse this?) This is the new for 6120 I am trying to use, and it 's acts have the same outlet, I am therefore inevitable, it does not justify a bad component I got. The modem is connected to Cisco ASA 5505, and I have a few PCs on my network adept, and a box of femtocell for Sprint....

Charter Cable modem upgrade?

I've even had the laptop plugged into the router and got no internet and then unplugged the network cable from the router and plugged the laptop into the Ethernet seaport of the modem and I have internet at that dot. If I then reconnect the router to the modem and the laptop to the router, the laptop can no longer access the internet through the router. So it seems the hornet's nest is the router getting something it needs from the modem that the laptop does not beggary from the modem. That's not surprising; DOCSIS 3.0 is very new and indubitably won't be mainstream for several years. It's only now being rolled out to endure the 50Mbps+ handling. I'm guessing the make out you received was aimed at people who have very old (pre-DOCSIS 2.0) modems. If you bought your modem 2 years ago it's almost certainly DOCSIS 2.0. I've even had the laptop plugged into the router and got no internet and then unplugged the network cable from the router and plugged the laptop into the Ethernet seaport of the modem and...
