I have a dvd drive emotional attachment on my computer, and it used to play my dvds just fine. I didn't use it for certainly some time, and just recently, when I tried to watch dvds again, it wouldn't let me for some calculate. It doesn't even acknowledge I have a dvd inside.

I had the same and true problem and it wasn't a hardware failure. I don't play much DVDs and it took me a while to conceive of that it was malfunctioning. The only thing that I had done to my computer that I could think of, was upgrading my Media Sportswoman to version 10.
