Micro SD Card Reader for Mac?

So I have a 2gb micro sd card and bought a card reader. When I clog the reader into my computer it doesn't do anything. I have looked for it everywhere on the computer, but its just not showing up. Is it maybe disciplined and thats why it isn't showing up? Or is it because I

As usual microSD cards come with an adapter to go to regular SD technique factor for card readers, unless your reader is designed for microSD I would give that a rule the roost, though I've never used one for a Mac I would imagine they're plug and play meaning it dosent desideratum
