Does the ipod nano 5th generation charge on the ihome iP9 docking station?

The dirt given about the docking station clearly states that it is compatible with the ipod nano 5th origination, but I'm wondering if the docking station is built to charge this new ipod. This is a great act and I don't want to get jipped on it.
