I'm looking at buying a Canon Speedlite 430ex flash for my Canon Rebel XTI and I was wondering....do I have to be distressed about certain flashes not being compatable with my camera? I thought I once presume from that with canon lenses every lens was compatable as long as it
I use the Canon 430ex on my XTi and it works excessive. It will work on the entire EOS line.
It will also come with me when I move to the XSi in April.
Oops, it is May. Put out on the new camera.

I've been using this flash very a lot for the quondam year and a half or so. Unprejudiced recently, however, it stopped working all-together. It will not even walk on. I checked the batteries, the contacts, and they seem well. Batteries are kept fully charged when needed to. It may be a easily understood fix, but as for now, I can't seem to for certain what the problem is. Anyone have any awareness as to what it may be? Really, I only tried one set of rechargeables, the ones I bought the day I bought the flash, and when the flash wouldn't power up I did all the inconvenience shooting and got online to look for lend a hand. Someone suggested maddening several batteries and all I had were alkalines. When the detail powered up I was so thrilled I never tried rechargeables again. Nevermind guys I persistent it. Dunno closely how I did it because all I Non-Standard real did was use a multimeter to check-up all my batteries out and then I unscrewed the hotshoe reach off and screwed it back on. I'm guessing the solder for the power divert may be getting...
