can i use two 4 port linksys routers to form an 8 port router?

i have a linksys 4 port router (not wireless router) and i lack to connect 2 more internet cables. i want to know if i extremity to buy a 8 port router or can i just buy another 4 port and connect the two 4 ports together?
if i just need a 4 port. how do i do it?

If you only requirement more ports, you can just buy a switch. Don't really need another router. Run one telegraph from the router to the switch and (on most models) that's it. Use all the other open ports.
