How to convert double sided dvd to dual layer dvd?

I have a double sided commercial dvd, one where I have to go to the dvd performer and flip the disc in order to watch the rest of the flick picture show. I'd like to rip it and burn it to a double layer disc without doing any compression. Please advocate me a program to do this,
