What happens when I overcharge a vacuum battery?

I bought a Shark Cordless 12V To Vac and it says its requires 16-20 hours of charge age prior to use. I accidentally left it charging for 28 hours. Would this wound the battery in anyway? I unplugged it and then used it.

Nope If it was designed propitious the charger will stop charging, Rechargable Batteries run until you are either done and put back in charger or the battery discharges and you fundamental to recharge, its just the way the mfgrs ship a partial cost on the Battery pack.
