Can you leave a Battery Tender Jr on a motorcycle battery for weeks?

Does anyone, or can you, leave of absence there Battery Tender (doesnt have to be a JR) on there battery without unplugging it for weeks? Ive never done it before and wondered if anyone does it and is it secured.

LEAVING the battery hooked up to the Tender whenever the bike/battery is not in use is the whole focus of a Battery Tender. Battery Tenders (and other similar type "float chargers") are specifically designed as storage chargers and should be plugged into the battery
