Macbook Pro battery not charging?

when plugged in, the battery omen at the top right beside the time shows a 'plug' sign' and when i click that it says "Battery is not charging". When i wiggle the cork in the computer it eventually starts charging and shows a 'bolt' sign and says "2:00 until full"

*mask palm* It's a MAC!!!! They all do that!!!
And probably the little thing that charges it (like a picayune thing inside the plug place) is broken or perverted.
