Can you connect a battery charger and a battery in series to double the voltage output ?

I have a 3 amp 18 volts battery charger and two 5 amps, 6 Volts batteries. I am edifice an hydrogen generator and want the maximum amount of current and volts.So if I seal the battery charger and 2 batteries in series will I get an output of 18+6+6 = 30 V or if I connect them
